just bought a parker for $400. doubt you'll find a used one cheaper. plasmatec 40 amp dual voltage (can run on 110 or 220 V) w/ "turbo" option. cuts up to 3/4". i've used it twice to cut some tube and 14 ga. to fix the fenders on my trailer works nice.

i used mine again yesterday cutting some 1/4". first cut was rough, turned it up to 60% and used a piece of angle iron for a straight edge. cut like butter

thats what the guy said, he said practice on a scrap piece and start at a low amperage and turn it up until it cuts sweet, he said not to start high cause you will blow your tips out

here's a couple pics of some 1/4" steel i cut the other day. first cut (top), adjusted the machine and my speed. second cut was real nice.

This is the brand that i have. The parts are a good price and easy to get.
I have the 101 model and it CUTS.
