NO never had a burban that part of the hobby gets $$$$$$ I would like to build a Keydown ride but I would go big 6 220 Leec's 5 antenna's and radio , Meters and slugs and Amps that shit gets costly . My last truck had one coil antenna and 2 alts I put out about 2100 watts at 15v and up to 4400 at 20v. I talked all over the world . You name it I talked it , even get my name called on the bowl |

i got a cobra cb with a corba magnet mount attena the attena is only about 14 inches long and it lights up in blue noen when i key the mic.bhahahahha m0foing chicken light .lol but i cant get out over a mile or so..wtf is up with that lol u think i need some heat or a better system...the attena cable got cut inhalf but i spiced it back together and it getts out the same as when it was uncut | ||||||

It could be you SWR's are too high and you need to adjust the antenna . Have you put in a different vehical since you got it ??? I would replace the coax what kinda antenna is it ??? I just did and wilson mag mount not to long ago I replace the coax that was bad with the better Gray RG8U which has better insulation in it | ||||||

If anyone needs there shit worked on or setup right in my area let me know. I'm in Berlin. And been in Radio for 20 years , worked on keydown trucks, Have all the proper equipment to tune a antenna system , and all the proper equipment to work on a radio scope , bird meter, and etc.
Rabbi I'm building a burban now just takin my time. As for wheeling trucks I would stay with a cobra 25 or 29 ltd. The way I set them up they kick ass and take off road abuse. Connex and galaxy's are ok but prone to cold solder joints and dont like to be bounced around. But if the customer wants a star wars radio I setup a dual final export that produces awesome full audio with a 636 mic. I stay away from power mic's in mobile apps. I'm allways on the radio Ch32 ,ch19 , ch20 . all over They call me Stroker on the band also. |
