1989 Toyota Pickup 4x4, $2000

Great running and driving 1989 Toyota pickup with 22RE. The timing chain tensioner is on it's way out. If it's a deal breaker I'll do the timing chain and tensioner, but i don't know when I'll have the time.

Recent tune up and valve adjustment. 179k miles and still going strong. Frame is solid!

$2000/firm

No worries, If I can't sell it for this price I know I'll have a dependable little truck for many years.

tell u what, go put a 20r head on a 22re and let me know how that works, just like always u have just proved urself to be a complete dunce when it comes to engine works, the 22r and 22re blocks are not interchangeable, so that means the 20r and 22re parts are not either, the 20r head onto a 22r is the perfect upgrade for those engines but this is a different animal all together...

How did this turn into a Toyota tech article?

yea your right that will not work
basketcase

You can change out a 22re head to a 22r head, but you can't put an 're head on a 22r block.. the dome pistons make it run like a champ with a carb'd head. The injected flat tops make it lose compression, or (gain air space) between the pistons and head there for runs like complete hell and over heats..I only know cause me and my brother have done this swap both ways...
